A couple of years ago I was walking my dogs in the middle of a very cold winter day.   I was taking them to the car when a vehicle came around the corner and hit some bad ice patches and ended up head first in a gully.
I went over and helped him out and gave him my cell phone to call for AAA....then I waited with him in my car to ensure he didn't freeze until the tow truck came.
We never even exchanged names

Hello!!!
Each day I try to commit random acts of kindness and I usually succeed. There is usually some kind of nice thing you can do. Like help a neighbor or even a total stranger.
One day I noticed this gentleman walking towards the airport parkway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with his suitcase none the less. So I stopped and asked him if he would like a ride I assumed that he was heading to the airport and it wouldn't be safe to walk the parkway. He was quite surprised that someone would stop! So we loaded up his stuff and took him to the airport. He offered money for gas or what ever .But I said no when you get to where you are going just PAY IT FORWARD he seemed bewildered. I hope wherever he is he remembers and does just that .This world would be a better place if everyone would be a little kinder and help each other. AND commit a random act of kindness each and every day!!!!! He did thank me and I hope he had a good feeling all day!
Thanks, Bree

A few years ago I joined a world wide group called "RAOK" - Random Acts of Kindness.  Everyday approximately 10 of us would send e-cards for Birthday Committee, Support Committee, Anniversary Committee etc. around the globe sending acts of kindness.  Once in awhile I would get a "thank you" from someone I had never met and a few are still in my life today just keeping in touch, praying for each others needs.  I am so grateful for your email to me today as I have been looking for another similar website so that I may continue to pass it on.  I have the movie Pay It Forward.  The most moving story that happens around the world, yet with reaching out to others, we forgive and let go of the pain and move on.Gwen

Last Christmas me and my kids took the money that was given to us for gifts and went out and bought toys and Christmas candy and took it all to the hospital in our town on Christmas Eve.  We were able to give each child there a gift and a small stocking to brighten their day.  We plan to do the same this year, but this year we will include my 3 yr. old grandson in the gift of giving so he can learn early that it's much better to give then receive.

I was on my way home from work one afternoon and I stopped by a fast food restaurant to get a little snack. In the drive through behind me was a mom and two kids. She sure looked like she had had enough and was very tired, so I paid for her order along with mine.
I hope it made her feel better and cheered up her day a little.

I guess I could say all my acts of kindness are random as I do them when the opportunity arises - for example, holding the door open for someone who is/are right behind me. I sometimes get a thank you and sometimes I don't. I always try to say thank you when someone holds the door for me. There is always starting a conversation with someone when you are standing in line at the check out. Or the old standby, just a smile. There are so many things that one can do and have it looked upon as an act of kindness. I am 64, not in the best of health and little acts always make me feel good about myself and when it is done for me, about others.
Thank you for your time.
Nancy
